Home-favourite Jo-Wilfried Tsonga recorded a 6-4 6-1 6-1 victory over Dudi Sela this afternoon to secure his place in the third round of the French Open.
There was little to separate the two players during the opening set in Paris, with one break of his Israeli opponent's serve proving decisive for Tsonga.
From that moment onwards, Tsonga was in complete control and he dropped just two more games on his way to securing the win in just one hour and 34 minutes.
The 30-year-old will now take on either Philipp Kohlschreiber or Pablo Andujar for a place in the fourth round.
Tsonga's best performance at Roland Garros came back in 2013 when he reached the semi-finals, in which he was knocked out by David Ferrer.
