World number two Novak Djokovic will face Victor Hanescu in his opening match at this year's BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.
Djokovic was given a bye into the last 32 and Hanescu confirmed his status as the Serb's opponent by beating Stephane Robert 7-5 3-6 6-4 in round one.
Hanescu recorded an impressive first serve percentage of 70% and delivered eight aces during his victory over Robert.
The Romanian has met Djokovic on six previous occasions and has yet to win once, with three of those matches ending with him retiring hurt.
Djokovic is a two-time champion in Indian Wells, having won the title in 2008 and 2011.
