World number one Novak Djokovic has cruised through to the third round of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells courtesy of a straight-sets victory over Marcos Baghdatis.
Djokovic began the match in imperious form as he broke the Cypriot's serve at the first attempt, and he was dominant on his own serve as he quickly won the first set 6-1.
The Serb was just as relentless in the second, but Baghdatis managed to fight back in the early stages of the set to stave off Djokovic's onslaught.
However, the 27-year-old upped the ante and began to hit winners with his powerful forehand to break Baghdatis's serve twice to take the set 6-3 and with it the match.
Djokovic will play Albert Ramos-Vinolas in the third round of the competition.
