Alexandr Dolgopolov backed up yesterday's win over Rafael Nadal with a straight-sets victory over Fabio Fognini in today's fourth-round match in Indian Wells.
Ukrainian Dolgopolov, who yesterday edged out top seed Nadal in a deciding-set tie-break, wrapped up victory today in just an hour and 17 minutes.
He broke Fognini, of Italy, at the first time of asking, racing out to an early 3-0 lead.
The pair then remained on serve until the eighth game when Dolgopolov broke again to claim the opener 6-2.
The second was much tighter, with the first nine games going with serve until Dolgopolov crucially broke through in the 10th on his second match point.
He will play the winner of the Andy Murray-Milos Raonic match currently taking place in the quarter-finals.
