Rafael Nadal has come from a set down to defeat Radek Stepanek in the second round of the BNP Paribas Open.
The world number one got the better of his 35-year-old Czech opponent 2-6 6-4 7-5, winning three of his 10 break points.
The 27-year-old Spaniard made a slow start to the contest and went down 6-2 in the opening set, but the defending champion stepped up his game thereafter.
Nadal clinched the second set 6-4 and edged past the third 7-5 to claim the victory in two hours and 24 minutes.
