Tommy Robredo has secured a place in round three of the Indian Wells Masters thanks to a 7-6(6) 5-7 6-4 victory against Marinko Matosevic.
The first set went with serve, but Robredo moved 4-2 ahead in the tie-break.
However, the Spaniard then failed to take three set points, before eventually coming out on top 8-6.
The next set was similar to the first, but Matosevic managed to get a crucial break to level the score.
Robredo fought back in the third, breaking Matosevic in the first game, although the Australian made it 3-3 after holding and then converting break point.
However, Robredo was too strong and broke again on his way to a 6-4 victory in what proved to be the final set of the match.
