Novak Djokovic plans to extend his tennis success to London 2012.

World number one Novak Djokovic has revealed that he plans to extend his tennis success to the Olympics in London next year.

The 24-year-old, who has won both the Australian Open and Wimbledon this year, said that the Games present a challenge unlike any other.

“It's a competition that is not comparable to any other competition,” Djokovik said. “I think every athlete, professional athlete, wants to win a medal in the Olympics. It's just something that stays forever. The whole world is watching that competition.”

The Serb took part in his first summer Olympics in Beijing in 2008, winning bronze in the men’s singles competition.

“Let me tell you, it's one of the best experiences I had in my tennis career. So I'm really looking forward to the next Olympics. Hopefully I can be part of it.”

Djokovic is through to the quarter finals of the Rogers Cup after defeating Marin Cilic 7-5, 6-2 on Thursday.
