Tamira Paszek has won her appeal to play for Austria at this year's Olympic Games.
The 21-year-old was deemed ineligible for the competition after the International Tennis Federation (ITF) claimed that she had not made herself available for enough Fed Cup events.
However, Tennis Austria were able to provide the correct documentation to confirm her availability.
The world number 37 will now replace Switzerland's Timea Bacsinszky, who pulled out of the draw.
Paszek recently won the Wimbledon warm-up tournament at Eastbourne before she fell at the quarter-final stage to Victoria Azarenka at the All England Club.
