Tomas Berdych has progressed to the third round of the Monte Carlo Masters with a straight-sets win over Dmitry Tursunov.
The fifth seed had to fight back from a break down in both sets to secure the 7-5 6-4 victory.
The Russian made a strong start to the match as Berdych made a series of early mistakes, but the Czech found his form on his serve before breaking back.
Despite Turusnov taking a break at the start of the second, Berdych rarely looked like letting his opponent back into the match in the second set, hitting numerous aces past the Russian before edging a break ahead and wrap up the match.
