Albert Ramos has ended Radek Stepanek's Monte Carlo Masters campaign in the first round by securing a 6-3 6-3 victory.
The Spaniard started off as the stronger opponent today by snatching the first break of serve and maintaining his lead to grab the opening set.
While Stepanek tried to respond to his deficit by launching strong forehands across the court, Ramos was able to hold off the attack and stick to his own game.
Once again, Ramos secured a vital break to push on and secure a straight-sets win over the Czech.
