Milos Raonic has booked a place into the quarter-finals of the Monte Carlo Masters after securing a 6-4 6-3 victory over Tommy Robredo.
The number eight seed was strong on his serve in the first set as he hit six aces and grabbed a vital break point.
Robredo failed to create a break opportunity of his own, which allowed Raonic to keep control of the court and take the lead on Court des Princes.
In the second set, Raonic once again took a break point to surge to a 3-0 lead, but from then on, Robredo was able to hold his service games strongly.
However, the 11th seed didn't have enough to upset his opponent as Raonic clinched the set to head into the final eight of the contest.
