The world number four crushed his opponent 6-1 6-2 in the second round of the competition in Tokyo.
Despite enduring a tough battle against Marcos Baghdatis to get past the first stage of the tournament yesterday, the Scot sailed through to the quarter-finals after breaking Bogomolov's serve five times.
The 28-year-old American failed to get off the mark after the British number one broke three times in the first set followed by a double break in the second.
Murray has only lost once in his last 19 competitive matches.
