In-form Croatian Marin Cilic has described his performance during this afternoon's straight-sets victory over Lukas Rosol at the Rotterdam Open as "solid".
Two days after winning his fourth Zagreb Indoors crown, the world number 37 cruised to a 6-2 6-2 victory over the Czech Republic's third highest-ranked man.
Cilic hit eight aces and broke serve four times en route to winning in just over an hour.
"I played solidly, I didn't have too many mistakes," Cilic told reporters. "In the first couple of games I had to get used to conditions. I was finally feeling the ball. I mixed it up well and make him play.
"My serve was also working pretty well, it was a solid match."
Cilic will face fifth seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in round two after the Frenchman recorded a 4-6 6-3 6-1 win over Florian Mayer on Monday.
