World number one Novak Djokovic has said that his triumph over Roger Federer in the Mubadala World Championship was the "perfect" to the season.
The Serbian, who will face either two-time winner Rafael Nadal or David Ferrer in tomorrow's final, beat Federer in straight sets 6-2 6-1 to progress from the semi-final in Abu Dhabi.
"It's quite an amazing event," Djokovic told Sky Sports News. "I love playing here. It was a great crowd yesterday, great crowd today. It's just a perfect start to the season.
"I had a match yesterday that helped me adjust to the surface. I played great. That's something that makes me very happy.
"This year has been by far the best year of my career. It's going to be very hard to repeat my success obviously but I'm going to do my best."
Djokovic, 24, lost six matches in 2011 en route to winning ten tournaments, including three Grand Slams.
