Great Britain suffered their first defeat of the 2022 ATP Cup on Tuesday as Canada claimed a 2-1 victory in Group C.
GB entered the contest on the back of a 2-1 victory over Germany and got off on the right foot with Dan Evans claiming a 6-4 6-4 win over Denis Shapovalov.
However, Cameron Norrie - who lost to Alexander Zverev against Germany - once again came unstuck against Felix Auger-Aliassime, who took the tie 7-6 6-3 to set up another deciding doubles match.
Shapovalov and Auger-Aliassime once again took to the court in the doubles against Jamie Murray and Joe Salisbury, with the Brits coming up short in a 6-4 6-1 loss.
Elsewhere, Germany's 2-1 win over the USA means that Group C is poised to go right down to the wire, with all four nations winning one and losing one of their opening two ties.
GB round off Group C with a tie against the USA on Thursday, with Evans set to face John Isner while Norrie prepares for battle against Taylor Fritz.
