Former British number one Laura Robson has confirmed that she will return to competitive tennis action after 17 months away at the upcoming grass-court tournament in Eastbourne.
The 21-year-old has struggled to recover from wrist surgery in April last year, but is hoping that a wildcard for the Eastbourne tournament could result in another invitation to play at Wimbledon later this month.
She posted a picture on Twitter today saying that she was "tournament bound" ahead of the Eastbourne event.
Robson reached a career-high world ranking of 27 at the age of 19 following her run to the fourth round of Wimbledon two years ago.
