Ivan Lendl has backed Andy Murray to go on to claim many more Grand Slam titles after his US Open success.
Murray finally won his first Grand Slam at the fifth attempt in the early hours of this morning, beating Novak Djokovic in a five-set thriller.
Now Lendl, who coaches Murray, believes that the 25-year-old can go from strength to strength having also won an Olympic gold medal and reached the Wimbledon final this year.
"I'm very happy for him. It's a great achievement for him and let's hope he can continue and rack up many more," said Lendl, who also took five finals to win his first Grand Slam.
"You can help somebody for a very short period of time. However, it takes more than that. You cannot help somebody in one week, you cannot do that in one month and hopefully we are not anywhere near where Andy can be."
Murray was quick to publicly thank Lendl following his triumph.
