US Open champion Andy Murray has insisted that his back is feeling a lot better following his withdrawal from the French Open, which started at the end of May.
Murray said that he would have preferred to play at Roland Garros, but was pleased how good his back felt even in the cold conditions during his win over Nicolas Mahut at Queen's.
"Missing the French Open was tough; you realise how much it means to you," he told BBC Sport. "My back felt great, especially with the conditions we have had.
"It is very cold and I'm sure, as anyone who has had a back problem knows, that's not good. Even with all the stopping and starting it feels great and that is probably the most satisfying thing about the match."
Rain forced Murray's match to be carried over from Wednesday evening into Thursday afternoon.
