Heather Watson has said that she plans to approach tomorrow's match against Agnieszka Radwanska differently to the last time she faced the world number four.

The pair will meet in round two of the Australian Open in the early hours of Friday morning (GMT).

Radwanska is in fine form, having won all 11 matches that she has played in 2013.

The Pole also earned a comfortable 6-0 6-2 victory against Watson at Wimbledon in June.

However, the British number one believes that she learned valuable lessons from that defeat.

"That killed me," Watson told BBC Sport. "I was so upset. I was playing at home in front of everyone and I just got wiped off the court. Yeah, that wasn't a great experience.

"She's a very different player to most of the girls. She is consistent, has great feel, so it's going to be another physical match.

"I think the first time I played her I just went guns blazing and didn't know what to do. I just went for it way too much. This time I am coming in a different player and I am going to approach it differently."

Watson is currently ranked 50th in the world, but the 20-year-old's ranking is expected to rise at least eight places following the Melbourne Park tournament.
