Juan Martin del Potro's Paris Masters campaign has come to an end after losing 6-4 6-3 to Michael Llodra.
The Argentina professional was broken early in the first set by the Frenchman, who displayed some impressive forehand shots across the court.
Llodra was able to hold and maintain his dominance to grab the first set and put Del Potro, who won the Swiss Indoors title at the weekend, under pressure.
While Del Potro tried to force through a comeback, it wasn't enough to trouble Llodra, who secured another early break in the second to push on and claim a spot in the quarter-finals of the competition.
