Tara Moore's run at the AEGON Championships in Birmingham was ended by Australia's Casey Dellacqua this afternoon.
Moore, currently Great Britain's number eight, appeared to be on her way to causing a shock result when she claimed the opening set 6-4 against a player ranked over 200 places above her in the current standings.
Dellacqua responded in the second set with an early break of Moore's serve. The Aussie then held her remaining service games to force a decider courtesy of a 6-4 success.
Nineteen-year-old Moore committed a string of unforced errors in the third and final set which Dellacqua took full advantage of.
The 27-year-old eventually dropped just one game on her way to securing her route through to round three.
