Novak Djokovic has progressed to the third round of the Miami Masters with a 6-4 6-3 win over France's Jeremy Chardy this evening.
The world number two seemed to be cruising to a one-set lead, having opened up a 5-2 advantage, but Chardy broke back while the Serb was serving for the set.
However, Djokovic was able to wrap it up on his next service game as he looked to swiftly clinch a place in the next round.
The second seed found another gear in the second set, breaking his opponent after six games to edge ahead, before serving a series of aces to dispatch the Frenchman in straight sets.
Djokovic will meet Germany's Florian Mayer in the next round.
