Former world number one Roger Federer has moved into round two of the Dubai Tennis Championships by defeating Michael Llodra this afternoon.
Federer took just 17 minutes to win the first set, not losing a game on his way to a 6-0 success.
Llodra produced more resistance in the second set, taking it all the way to a tie-break.
However, Federer emerged victorious to seal his progression to the next round 6-0 7-6(8).
Federer will now play Spain's Feliciano Lopez.
