Roger Federer has progressed into the semi-finals of the Dubai Tennis Championships with a straight-sets victory over Lukas Rosol.
The world number eight made a slow start to the match as Rosol established a 2-0 lead, but he responded by breaking Rosol three times in a row on his way to taking the opening set 6-2.
The Swiss player dominated the second set, breaking Rosol twice on his way to opening up a 4-1 lead.
Rosol responded to reduce the deficit to two games, but Federer held his serve once more to take the set 6-2 and wrap up the match after just 59 minutes of play.
He will face four-time champion Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals.
