British number two Anne Keothavong has been knocked out of the Texas Open in the first round.
The 28-year-old had looked to be on course for a superb victory against New Zealand's Marina Erakovic - ranked 24 places above her in the WTA rankings - when she went a break of serve ahead during the final set.
However, Erakovic, 24, stormed back to eventually prevail 6-1 5-7 7-6 (11/9).
Erakovic then teamed up with British number one Heather Watson and the pair overcame American duo Elizabeth Lumpkin and Yasmin Schnack 6-2 2-6 10-8.
