Local favourite Feliciano Lopez came back from a set down to knock 13th seed Mikhail Youzhny out of the Mutua Madrid Open at the second-round stage this afternoon.
Russia's Youzhny took the first set in 38 minutes, needing just one break in the sixth game for a 6-3 success.
It was exactly the same story in the second set, but this time Lopez made the breakthrough when 3-2 up to force a decider.
Once again, there would be only one break as Lopez came through 6-4 in a little over two hours to reach the third round.
He next faces Austria's Dominic Thiem after his surprise victory over Stanislas Wawrinka last night.
