Andy Murray has won his first tournament since Wimbledon 2013 by fighting back to beat Tommy Robredo in the final of the Shenzhen Open.
The Brit had to save five match points during the second set, but he was eventually able to overcome the Spaniard 5-7 7-6(9) 6-1 in two hours and 33 minutes.
Both players exchanged breaks early in the opening set before world number 22 Robredo came through 7-5 to land the first blow in what was a hard-fought contest.
It needed a tie-break to separate the competitors in the second, with Robredo moving into a commanding 6-2 lead to put himself on the verge of victory. However, Murray staged a remarkable comeback to take it 11-9 and force the match into a decider.
Robredo started to struggle under the intense Chinese heat in the third, allowing Murray to break twice and go 5-1 ahead. He then secured the title by breaking for a third time in the set.
