World number 10 Andrea Petkovic lost just two games in thrashing Kristina Mladenovic in straight sets to reach the fourth round of the Miami Masters this evening.
The German whitewashed her French counterpart to claim the opening set, before winning the next 6-2 to cruise into the round-of-16 stage.
The world number 64 found herself 4-0 down in a first set that lasted 34 minutes, before a third break of serve in the final game allowed Petkovic to take an opening-set lead in emphatic fashion.
Mladenovic held serve for the first time in the match to level up the second set at one game apiece, but that only served to spur on Petkovic, who then fashioned a commanding 5-1 lead.
The underdog pulled out a break of serve to deny Petkovic, but it only delayed the inevitable as the 27-year-old broke back to seal the win.
