Emma Raducanu will clash with world number one Iga Swiatek in the quarter-finals of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix thanks to a straight-sets win over Linda Noskova in the second round.

Fresh from demolishing three-time Grand Slam winner Angelique Kerber in her opening affair, the 2021 US Open champion was on course for another dominant success thanks to a first-leg bagel.

Czech world number 31 Noskova threatened a second-set turnaround, but Raducanu held out to post a 6-0 7-5 triumph in just one hour and 19 minutes as her stellar form continued.

The 21-year-old - who also helped Great Britain to the Billie Jean King Cup Finals by sinking France's Diane Parry and Caroline Garcia earlier this month - can now look ahead to a first WTA Tour quarter-final since September 2022, when she reached the last four in Korea.

Raducanu faced a couple of break points in her opening service games, but she quickly beat them away and clinically took three of the four opportunities she fashioned to break Noskova in a first-set whitewash.

Raducanu out for revenge against Swiatek

The Czech teenager gave Raducanu a better run for her money in an incredibly tight second set, but she was still failing to carve out openings on the Raducanu serve and ceded two match points in the 12th game.

The world number 303 failed to convert her first, but she let out an almighty roar as Noskova overcooked a forehand on her second chance, thus setting up a tantalising reunion with Swiatek.

Raducanu and the world number one - who is the two-time reigning champion in Stuttgart - clashed in the quarter-finals on the clay two years ago, where Swiatek marched to a 6-4 6-4 triumph.

Prior to the Briton's success, Swiatek booked her place in the last eight by seeing off Belgium's Elise Mertens 6-3 6-4 in her first clay-court match of the year, although she required four match points to get over the line.

As well as Raducanu, British men's number one Cameron Norrie also reached the quarter-finals of the Barcelona Open on Thursday, beating Roberto Bautista Agut for his 200th win on the ATP Tour.
