Agnieszka Radwanska's Miami Open campaign remains on track after sealing a place in the third round of the tournament with a 6-4 7-5 victory over Anna Schmiedlova.
The Polish pro started strongly on the court with an instant double break, but Schmiedlova managed to earn a break of her own to keep herself in contention.
Despite bouncing back, Radwanska's early breaks were enough to give her a comfortable one-set lead in the United States.
It wasn't as simple in the second set as the seventh seed dropped serve in the opening game, but she immediately responded with a break.
Radwanska looked on course to wrap up the set with ease, but her Slovakian opponent broke back and held to draw the set level on 4-4.
It was a tough end to the match, but Radwanska was able to see out the set to book her place in the next round.
