Rafael Nadal continued his recovery from a knee injury by winning at the ATP Tour's Acapulco event earlier today.
The Spaniard, who spent seven months on the sidelines until his comeback last month, took just 68 minutes to overcome the challenge of Diego Sebastian Schwartzman 6-2 6-2.
He will now take on Argentine qualifier Martin Alund for a slot in round three of the tournament.
Should Nadal emerge victorious in Mexico, it will be the 38th title on clay.
