Serena Williams is one game away from fighting for the Miami Masters title following her 6-3 7-6[5] victory over Li Na.

The American pro started strong by snatching the first break of serve and keeping control of the court with strong forehands and returns.

While Li was able to get three games on the board, it was Williams who kept her composure to go one set up in Florida.

The second set was a tougher affair for Williams as she was forced to a tie-break by Li, who was unable to capitalise on the head to head by crashing out of the tournament 7-5.
