Tommy Robredo has booked his place in round three of the Barcelona Open thanks to a straight-sets win over Mikhail Kukushkin.
There was little to separate the men at the start of the first set, but 2004 champion Robredo managed to find a break before taking it 6-3.
It was a more routine affair after that for Robredo though as he came through 6-3 6-2 with less than an hour on the clock.
The veteran Spaniard will now meet either Marcel Granollers or Jo-Wilfried Tsonga for a spot in the quarter-finals.
