Mikhail Youzhny has advanced through to round three of the Halle Open courtesy of a 6-4 3-6 6-3 victory over Alexandr Dolgopolov this afternoon.
The Russian required just one break of Dolgopolov's serve to take the opening set in just under 30 minutes.
However, 23-year-old Dolgopolov made the most of some unforced errors by Youzhny in the second set to take the match into a decider courtesy of a 6-3 success.
Youzhny took control of the third set immediately when he claimed a break of serve at the first time of asking.
He then went on to hold his remaining service games to book his place in the next round.
