Andy Murray says that he is ready to move on from his triumph at Wimbledon and continue with the rest of the season.

Wimbledon champion Andy Murray has said that he is glad to be back in action at the Rogers Cup following his historic triumph at SW19.

In his first match since beating Novak Djokovic, the British number one defeated Marcel Granollers - the last man to have beaten him - in straight sets in Montreal.

"It was just good to get back on the court," Murray told Sky Sports News.

"The nerves were there today. I really like that, it shows that I'm ready to move forward and not focus too much on what happened a few weeks ago.

"I want to try and do well over here in the States and Canada and that's a good sign."

Murray will face the winner of the match between in-form Italian Fabio Fognini and Latvia's Ernests Gulbis.
