Top seed Novak Djokovic has eased into the quarter-finals of the Rogers Cup with a straight-sets triumph over American Jack Sock.
Djokovic was forced to save a break point during the early stages, but he was able to fight back before claiming it 6-2.
The Serb's dominance from the back of the court was too much for Sock in the second as he powered into a 4-1 lead. From there the world number one came through with minimal fuss as he closed out the match 6-2 6-1.
Djokovic will face either Ernests Gulbis or Donald Young for a place in the last four.
