Roger Federer has progressed through to the third round of the Rogers Cup after he eased past home favourite Peter Polansky.
The world number three, who is a two-time winner of the Canadian tournament, needed just 52 minutes to secure a 6-2 6-0 triumph in Toronto.
Federer broke the world number 129's serve on three occasions during the opening set to move closer to to the last 16, and it proved even easier in the second.
The 32-year-old registered six straight games, dropping just four points on his serve along the way, to set up a match with either Marin Cilic or Malek Jaziri on Thursday.
