Andy Murray has cruised past Kei Nishikori in straight sets to secure a place in the final of the Rogers Cup.
Both players began the contest well as they produced a number of quality shots to keep the match tight in the opening games of the first set.
Murray made the first breakthrough to win a break, but the Japanese was able to battle back to level the scores. However, the 28-year-old secured a second break to take a 5-3 lead and serve out for the opener.
The 28-year-old dominated from the off in the second set as he rallied from 30-0 down to break in the opening game. Murray produced several flawless groundstrokes to hold his serve and break the number four seed twice more to cruise to a 6-3 6-0 victory.
The Scot will take on world number one Novak Djokovic in the final.
