Victoria Azarenka has said that her consistency has been improving following her fourth-round win at the US Open.
The former world number one, who has struggled with injuries over the last couple of years, is through to the last eight at Flushing Meadows for the first time since 2012, beating Varvara Lepchenko in straight sets.
The Belarusian told reporters: "Varvara's ball is a little unpredictable. Sometimes it comes fast and heavy, sometimes it comes high and slow. So it is a little more difficult to me. But I am happy I managed to stay solid.
"I think my game is improving, in terms of consistency. I think it's all coming, you know, from probably March is a progression slowly, improving every match."
Azarenka will face second seed Simona Halep in her next match.
