World number one Novak Djokovic ensured his place in the final of the Shanghai Masters after beating Andy Murray in straight sets this afternoon.
Djokovic appeared in remarkable shape from the off and allowed Murray only one service-game victory on his way to sealing the first set 6-1.
The Scot was slightly improved in the second offering, but he could do little to stop Djokovic, who moved unthreatened by serving out to hold a 6-1 6-3 advantage come the end of the final set.
In the tournament's other semi-final offering, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga beat Rafael Nadal 6-4 0-6 7-5, establishing a final clash between the Frenchman and two-time winner Djokovic.
