Feliciano Lopez has earned a place in the semi-finals of the Shanghai Masters by coming from a set down to secure a 5-7 6-4 6-4 victory over Mikhail Youzhny.
Lopez failed to save a fourth break point in his second service game of the opening set, but he was able to bounce back instantly with a break of his own.
From then on, games went by the way of serve until Youzhny broke his opponent's serve again before pushing on to clinch the set.
Both players lost serve in the second set, leaving the match at 4-4 all, but Lopez was able to force parity in the match with a further break which won the set.
The momentum swung in the Spaniard's direction in the third and final set as he broke Youzhny's serve again, but the Russian responded in a bid to frustrate his opponent.
However, it was not enough as Lopez was eventually able to see out the match and book his place in the last four.
