Andy Murray has moved into the third round of the Shanghai Masters with a comfortable straight-sets win over Steve Johnson.
The three-time Grand Slam champion, who won his first China Open title at the weekend, took one hour and 16 minutes to seal a 6-3 6-2 triumph in a weather-disrupted match.
Murray came close to suffering an early wobble when Johnson created a break point at the first time of asking, but the Scotsman held and went on to dominate.
In 41 minutes, the Wimbledon champion took a one-set lead with a single break point, and he earned an early double break in the second to wrap up the match.
Murray's progression keeps him in pursuit of Novak Djokovic's world number one spot.
