Bernard Tomic has battled to a three-sets win over Richard Gasquet in the third round of the Shanghai Masters.
The world number 20 came out on top 6-3 6-7(1) 6-4 to set up a quarter-final meeting with top seed Novak Djokovic.
Gasquet lost the first set's only break of serve in the eighth game to give his opponent an early foothold on proceedings.
A tightly-contested second set followed, including a mammoth third game in which both players frantically battled to claim a key point, with a tie-break being required to separate them in the end.
It was Gasquet who came out on top to level things up, but Tomic was able to take the third to see things through, eventually shaking off his opponent with a third match point at the end of an entertaining set.
