Top-seed Novak Djokovic eased to a 6-2 6-3 victory over Feliciano Lopez in the third round of the Shanghai Masters this afternoon.
The world number one never looked in trouble as he downed his Spanish opponent in an hour and 14 minutes to reach the quarter-finals.
Lopez had to save four break points to hold serve in his opening service game, but Djokovic found a way through in the sixth game and then broke again to claim the opener.
The Serb needed just a single break in the second to wrap up victory, serving it out to love after he had missed out on two match points on Lopez's serve in the eighth game.
Djokovic, who will face either Richard Gasquet or Bernard Tomic in the last eight, has now won 15 matches in a row since Roger Federer beat him in Cincinnati in August.
