Roger Federer has defeated David Goffin in straight sets this afternoon to claim his sixth Swiss Indoors title.
The world number two, who has now won his last 12 matches on the bounce, needed just 51 minutes to see off his opponent as he prevailed 6-2 6-2 in Basel.
Having found the first break of serve in the opening game of the contest, Federer instantly took control of proceedings and eventually broke Goffin once more to wrap up the set with relative ease.
It proved to be a similar case in the second set, with the Swiss maestro finding two breaks of serve to put Goffin to the sword and secure another title in his homeland.
Federer will compete in the Paris Masters next week, before turning his attention to the ATP World Tour Finals in London.
