Roger Federer has secured a place in the semi-finals at the Swiss Indoors Basel Masters after beating Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets this evening.
The third seed looked comfortable in the opener, clinching an early break over the Bulgarian, which was enough to allow the Swiss to serve out for a one-set lead.
The world number 22 came back strongly in the second, breaking his opponent to take a 4-2 lead, but Federer was able to hit back at 5-4 down.
Letting his second-set lead to slip caused Dimitrov to lose his concentration, allowing Federer to swiftly wrap up the match in a tie-break.
Federer will face Canadian Vasil Pospsil in the last four.
