Heather Watson has revealed her disappointment at being overlooked to partner Andy Murray at the Olympic mixed doubles event this summer.
Murray elected to play with Laura Robson and the duo went on to collect a silver medal at the Games.
When asked whether she was miffed at not being chosen, the 20-year-old told the Observer: "Honestly, yeah. I wanted to play.
"It was the Olympics. I think anyone in my position would have wanted that opportunity. But it was his decision. It's fine. They ended up with a silver medal. That's brilliant.
"It's made me stronger."
Both Robson and Watson have since gone on to have success on the WTA Tour, with Robson becoming the first Brit to reach a final since 1990, before Watson went one better by winning the Japan open for a first British success in 24 years.
