Venus Williams has revealed that she hopes to clean up any errors in her game after she progressed to the third round of the US Open this morning.
The two-time champion recovered from a stumble in the second set to defeat Irina Falconi 6-3 6-7(2) 6-2 in the second round at Flushing Meadows.
Speaking to ESPN after the match, Williams said: "After losing the second set - [Falconi] played a great tie-break and produced a lot of great shots - in the third set I felt like I had a lot more clarity and I had the crowd behind me.
"I'm just hoping to continue to clean up my errors as the match goes on and try to play aggressive at the right moments and make it all come together even better, but I'm feeling like I'm still playing the important points well."
Williams will take on Belinda Bencic in the third round on Friday.
