Richard Gasquet has conceded just eight games in an emphatic win over Bernard Tomic in the US Open fourth round.
The 12th seed broke serve five times on the way to a 6-4 6-3 6-1 scoreline over the below-par Australian.
Gasquet has enjoyed an excellent couple of months on the ATP Tour, and the confidence in his game was evident during the first set as he allowed Tomic just four return points on the way to moving ahead with one break of serve.
The Frenchman continued his dominance at the start of the second, breaking Tomic to establish a 3-1 advantage, and that proved enough for a two-set lead as Tomic looked like he hadn't fully recovered from his five-set epic with Lleyton Hewitt on Thursday.
Gasquet soon registered two more breaks of serve in the third before serving out to love to complete the win.
