World number one Victoria Azarenka progressed to round four of the US Open by demolishing China's Zheng Jie in straight sets.
The Belarusian won the first nine games of the match, being taken to deuce only once.
Zheng then managed to record her first - and only - game of the night when she produced a two-minute spell of inspired hitting to break Azarenka's serve to 15.
However, the 28th seed could not sustain her resistance, as Azarenka resumed control to wrap up the victory in just 58 minutes.
Azarenka will now face Anna Tatishvili in round four, after the Georgian beat Luxembourg's Mandy Minella.
